About The Hotel
The Westbury Hotel is at the very heart of Dublin Society. It’s not just its stupendous location off Grafton Street, the heart and soul of Dublin’s fashion and dining world, but it’s accessibility. And, again, by accessibility I do not mean just its stupendous location, I mean that although it is a 5 Star Hotel, it is welcoming and open to everyone in a totally unstuffy way.
All of my friends meet here after shopping for the legendary Afternoon Tea in The Gallery, which also offers a great view of Dublin life both inside and outside the hotel. The Gallery is also a place where you do not feel awkward sitting on your own, or waiting for friends, for the staff gently oversee that you have everything you need. Indeed, one of my friends, who only lives twenty miles away in Greystones, loves to stay at The Westbury when she comes to town, to dinner or the Theatre. She just loves the sense of waking up in the morning feeling in the heart of the city, in the hub, having a lovely breakfast and walking straight out on to Grafton Street. There is no other hotel that quite gives you that same feeling and vibe.
Part of the Doyle Collection, The Westbury was completely renovated and remodeled to create and elegant, luxurious stylish 5 Star ambiance. With some 205 bedrooms and suites, the rooms are spacious and stylishly lit. Furnishings are gracious and elegant, with everything chosen to enhance a peaceful and restful experience. Exquisite Lissadell bedlinen dresses the gorgeous plush comfortable Sealy beds, whilst Aromatherapy Associates bathroom products assail the senses. 32” flat screen TV and iPod compatible entertainment systems help you relax, whilst a Nepresso coffee machine is standard in all rooms. Superior rooms are 25 sqm but if you need extra space to work or chill out you can upgrade to a 43sqm Deluxe room, which has a dedicated work area as well as superior furnishings, fixtures and fittings. Suites at The Westbury offer top notch unparalleled luxury and style from the Studio Four Poster Suites to the Luxury King Bed and Four Poster Suites which have amazing views of the city skyline and Dublin Mountains, or St. Stephens Green and Grafton Street. The 140sqm Presidential Suite is of course the top of the range, suitable for the most discerning Head of State, Movie Star, or indeed your special occasion.
There are varying dining options. The Gallery offers a casual menu whilst the hip new Balfe's is lively and fun street level urban bar and brasserie serving food from breakfast through lunch and dinner. The sleek Art Deco style Marble Bar is the perfect place for socializing for pre or post dinner drinks. They also have a delectable range of Evening Light Bites such as handmade sushi selection, crispy prawn wontons or canapés. The Westbury’s other dining option is Wilde’s set in a beautiful room with views out over Grafton Street, and offering a grill and seafood menu with French and Italian influences using the best of Irish local produce from grilled lobster Thermidor to the best of Wicklow lamb.
The Westbury Hotel really is Dublin at its best.
