Restaurant Review - Sheen Falls Lodge

As the storm Gods would have it, we couldn’t have had a more dramatic display of the crashing cascading waters of Sheen Falls than on our recent visit to the eponymous five-star hotel in Kenmare. Bursting with sound and fury, the rushing rapids roaring their way out to Kenmare Bay as we dined was a mighty moviesque experience.
It was also another key week for the hotel, as our visit coincided with Michelin bestowing two ‘Keys’ on them — a new accolade directed at hotels, introduced by the revered rubber tyre gang back in April. I’m wondering now what other awards they’ll come up with to expand their biz — best car park maybe, or most improved fire-escape?
