About The Hotel

A renowned family-friendly four star hotel just on the edge of Kilkenny City, the Newpark Hotel is a perfect place to relax, unwind and escape from the real world. It’s perfect too for children, with a free kids club for ages 4-12, not to mention their superb dinosaur-themed park featuring an interactive dinosaur experience with life size robotic dinos that move and roar. With 25 acres of diligently maintained park land, there are magnificent gardens to explore, a playground, an animal petting farm, a fairy trail, and even a go-karting track. And, if going outside is too much of hassle, they also have a fully equipped leisure centre and a luxury spa as well.

The stylish guest rooms at the Newpark Hotel are warm and inviting, with touches of old world charm yet all the modern comforts one would expect. All rooms feature multi-channel flat screen TVs, Tea/Coffee facilities, hair dryer, complimentary WiFi and 24-hour room service, but for a little extra luxury check out their superior rooms, or, if you really want to push the boat out, book a stay in one of their impressive balcony suites. With stunning garden views, each of these rooms has its own private balcony, and some even include a hot tub out on the balcony.

Once you’ve settled in, do check out their Escape Spa & Health Club, which offers a 17 metre swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, not to mention a fully equipped gym. For spa treatments, from massages to facials to chocolate body treatments, be sure to book in advance of your stay.

When it comes to food and drink, there are plenty of options here as well, from their Lobby Lounge where you can enjoy a coffee along with a selection of sambos and soup, plus desserts, to their wonderful Scott’s Bar & Brasserie with its dark wood booths and rich red furnishings, which has a great a la carte evening menu featuring the likes of 10oz Black Angus ribeyes with carmelised onions and sautéed chestnut mushrooms, or perhaps some seabass salsa verde with champ potato and seasonal veg. The Terrace too is a wonderful place to eat, bistro style with a Parisian feel, it has a neat retractable roof and outdoor heating making it ideal at any time of the year.

From great food and drink to superb extensive facilities with an exciting expansive estate to explore, the Newpark Hotel has everything you could ask for.
