About The Hotel

A fabulous and wonderfully elegant family owned hotel in the heart of Kildare, the 4 Star Glenroyal Hotel & Leisure Club in Maynooth is an enduringly popular spot for visitors coming from near and far, with an excellent reputation for superb and attentive customer service. So relax, you’re in good hands.

Just a short stroll from the town, and indeed only 20 minutes from Dublin, its location is ideal both for the leisure traveller and busy executive alike. Families will be delighted also with a great variety of nearby activities and amusements to choose from.

There is a variety of bedrooms available at the Glenroyal Hotel, offering plenty of options when it comes to needs and cost, but I can assure you that all of the rooms here are stylishly appointed and well equipped with the standard in-room amenities that you would expect from a 4-star hotel, including tea and coffee making facilities, large flat screen TV, spacious bathrooms, complimentary Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board, and more. If you prefer things to be at the ‘Deluxe’ level, you can expect an even more spacious abode with fluffy slippers and bathrobe, a Lavazza coffee machine and complimentary water; or if you want to kick things up to the ‘Executive’ level, expect a king size bed and in room safe to be among the added perks.

There are some great family rooms available here also, with plenty of beds and space to stop you tripping over one another. The Leisure Centre here, with its two 20m heated swimming pools, is also extremely popular with families, and fitness fanatics alike. Besides the pools, the leisure centre also features a state-of-the-art gym with extensive cardio & resistance areas. Need more motivation? Try one of their many fitness classes, and sweat in unison instead. Once you’re done with your workout, check out the saunas, steam Rooms, Jacuzzi & HydroSpa – you’ve earned it.

If sweating and straining isn’t your thing, don’t worry, the team at the Noa Spa & Wellness Centre are waiting to help you relax, renew, and melt away from all your worries, with an indulgent range of luxury spa treatments.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, you’ll appreciate the fab selection of dining options all the more. Their Arkle Bar & Restaurant, nominated for Best Hotel Bar 2019, has a plush 1920s style décor featuring photos and artwork of the eponymous Arkle, who was one of Kildare’s best known and loved racehorses. Open from early till late, the menus here offer a delicious variety of fresh and tasty fare using premium ingredients, free range meats and the freshest seafood.

The star attraction, when it comes to dining here, is of course, The Enclosure at Arkle, where Executive Head Chef Bernard McGuane leads the charge in producing elegant modern menus with bold flavours and subtle but effective style. Perfect for all occasions, the room is upscale and intimate with a raised dining area and booth seating, dark and light oak timber finishes, and attractive brass light fittings.

If you’re after a more casual afternoon bite, then be sure to check out the Shoda Market Café where the ethos is very simple, serve great wholesome food with a unique twist married with passionate and personal service. Think homemade quiche, fresh roast sandwiches, hearty soups and freshly baked sweet treats. Be sure to check out their call & collect afternoon tea service also.

The Glenroyal Hotel, with its luxury surrounds is also an extremely popular location for weddings and corporate events. There’s lots of info on their site, but make sure to book your slot well in advance.
