About The Hotel
If you’re thinking of heading south-west in search of respite or adventure, then set your sat nav for Charleville, Co. Cork. In the heart of Munster, Charleville is a terrific spot, with plenty of craic to be had, and well worth the pilgrimage. Just shy of the Limerick border, it’s also a great base from which to visit Cork, Killarney and Limerick.
But before you get there, book your stay at the Charleville Park Hotel and Leisure Centre. From the moment you walk in, you’ll know you’ve made the right choice. The Charleville Park is a fab, modern, luxurious hotel with all of the modern amenities one could ask for, the décor throughout the hotel is stylish and elegant and the service is really spot on.
Offering four-star lodgings, their Superior King rooms, are spacious and tastefully decorated, and offering the aforementioned king size bed, a 28 inch flat screen TV, power shower and separate bath, heated bathroom mirror and high speed WiFi, along with complimentary bottled water, tea & coffee making facilities, in room safe, telephone, iron station. If you fancy pushing the boat out, then treat yourself to a stay in one of their fantastic deluxe suites, the Munster Suite or the Croke Suite. Either of these rooms would have you in the lap of luxury with large separate living areas, dressing rooms and work areas. The large en suite bathrooms feature Jacuzzi baths and rain showers, along with dedicated his and her sinks to help defuse those bathroom battles.
Once you’ve settled into your luxurious surroundings, which overlook the beautiful Ballyhoura Mountains, I should mention, then head on over to their leisure club for some fun, fitness and relaxation. Featuring a 25m swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room as well as a state of the art gym and aerobic studio. They also offer a range of pool activities and fitness classes led by their team of experienced, professional experts. So whether it’s a splash, a soak, a steam or a sweat that you’re looking for, there’s something here for you.
When it comes to food and drink, the Charleville Park has you well covered. Their Greenfinch Restaurant is bright, airy and relaxing, opening onto the hotel’s courtyard garden, and deals in high quality Irish fine dining. A great spot for family occasions, romantic dinners or just a night out with friends. Their Park Bar & Grill offers a more casual locale for grabbing a drink or a bite, whether it’s one of their gourmet sandwiches, a homemade beef, chicken, or fish burger on a brioche bun with crispy fries, or something from their tasty mixed grill. They cater for coeliacs and all type of dietary requests and, on Saturday nights, they offer some really good live music too. If it’s a quiet spot for tea and a bit of peace you’re seeking then head over to their Osprey Lounge, which adjoins their courtyard garden. Intimate and attractive to the eye, the Osprey lounge is great for a sandwich or a freshly baked scone with one of their tasty herbal teas.
So, don’t overthink it, just go! You won’t regret it.
