About The Restaurant
Osaka in Tuam Co. Galway is the third link in this highly successful Japanese restaurant chain, which has the same team behind it as the popular Kyoto restaurants in Waterford and Clonmel. A sister property to Osaka in Galway and Osaka in Ennis, Co. Clare, it will come as no surprise that the food in their Tuam restaurant is a delight, with a wide array of sushi, curries, noodles and wok-fried dishes to choose from.
Their Sushi Nigiri, rice balls with a slice of filling, can be had with salmon, tuna, octopus, eel, prawn, crab and more, while their Norimaki, sushi rolled in seaweed, are filled with your choice of seafood as well – Sashimi, Futomaki and Hosomaki also feature in their sushi menu.
For smaller bites or as appetisers, they have a delicious selection of gyoza, deep-fried Japanese dumplings; lightly crisped tempura with chicken, prawns or veg; spring rolls; or a skewered chicken satay.
For a more substantial repast, check out some of their Wok Stars, such as Yakitori Duck, Beef Yaki Nikku or a stir-fried Malay Satay (all served with steamed Japanese/brown rice or noodles with a supplement). Curry dishes include the ubiquitous Thai Green, a spicy Rendang, or indeed a Firecracker dish for those looking to crank up the heat, while Noodle dishes feature the likes of Teriyaki Soba, Osaka’s Traditional Ramen, along with the staple favourite of Pad Thai.
