About The Hotel
The idea for Hotel Isaac’s Cork was inspired. A vast, red bricked, Victorian landmark building on Cork’s MacCurtain Street, used by Nat Ross Removals, was converted into Hotel Isaac’s, offering great value accommodation in excellent surroundings.
While the Hotel itself is an oasis of calm its Bar and Greene’s Restaurant are very popular with those in the know seeking good food in Cork. But more of that later. The bedrooms, which have been refurbished, as has the lobby, are extremely comfortable, bright and airy, and ideal for the technophile and modern day traveller requiring Internet access, safes, minibars, transcontinental built in adaptors, airconditioning, trouser press, iron and ironing boards. The location is brilliant, for Hotel Isaacs is but a few minutes from Cork’s Kent Station, and is surrounded by restaurants, clubs, pubs, boutiques and antique and décor shops.
Greene’s, the Hotel’s own Brasserie Restaurant, is under the capable baton of Chef Bryan McCarthy. The room overlooks a floodlit cascading feature waterfall and you are ideally placed for a fun gourmet weekend. The food is excellent and you can think perhaps of Macroom lamb with swede, carrot, preserved damson and organic veg; Skeaghanore duck with turnip, beetroot and kale; a duo of braised feather blade and Angus beef; or a pan-seared wild halibut fillet served with sea beets, bacon, jus gras and seaweed
There are also 11 excellent two and three bedroomed apartments adjacent to the Hotel which are very popular and suitable for small groups, families and business people who like a bit more space and freedom.
At Hotel Isaacs you are in the heart of Cork.
