Our Latest Great Place To Eat - Newgrange Cafe & Tearooms

Newgrange is probably best known for its self-illuminating passage, which visitors have been marveling at for many years; an effect that is caused by the angle of the sun during the Winter Solstice for a few days in late December.
The Bru na Boinne Visitors Centre at Newgrange, which is open all year round, is now home to the delightful Newgrange Café and Tearooms which provide a whole host of tasty treats and savoury selections to its patrons throughout the day. The interior of the café is bright, airy and also quite spacious with room for a hundred or so people to be seated.
When I was there, the array of delicious looking cakes and sweet treats on display at the counter was simply mouth watering. They had all kinds of meringue and fruit based desserts that just looked perfect, as well as lots of devilishly tempting chocolate cakes and brownies that were calling out to be devoured.
