Our Latest Great Place To Eat - Texas Steakout
Wednesday 22 January 2014
The Texas Steakout has been in business for over twenty years and in our experience has never disappointed both in terms of food, atmosphere and hospitality and we look forward to our visits there every time. It is a real American style steak house, comfortable and plush, adorned with all the Wild West trappings of buffalo heads, Indian figures and the de rigueur lifesize cowboy.
When it comes to starters, all your favourite dishes are there from loaded potato skins to tiger prawn salad, Caesar salad to mussels in a delicious white wine and cream sauce served with crusty bread. Deep fried breaded mushrooms are with a garlic mayo dip whilst, coming back home as it were, Clonakilty black pudding potato cake is with a wow tasty honey and black pepper mayo. Another great starter includes their own famous Limerick ham and mushroom vol au vent which is scrumptious. Nachos can be had just with melted cheese or topped with spicy chicken or beef and cheese. A good option too is their combo starter plate for two which gives you a good selection of garlic bread, spare ribs, deep fried Brie, potato skins and breaded mushrooms.
