Our Latest Great Place to Eat - Seafield Restaurant

The Seafield Restaurant at the Seafield Hotel in Ballymoney, Co. Wexford, is a beautiful location with views of the golf course and courtyard but better still it also offers cracking innovative contemporary food that makes it a destination in itself.   Not only does the menu offer sassy contemporary food but also, being a Spa hotel, there are Healthy, Coeliac, Vegetarian and Low Carbohydrate options.  Local and seasonal produce features prominently on the menu but with eclectic twists that really catch the eye and the imagination.   This is serious food here.

Starters from the a la carte menu include a sophisticated surf ‘ n turn combination which sees roasted scallops, coral powder with warm skate terrine, paired with smoked duck, cauliflower textures, miso caramel, and warm nettle jelly.  Jasmine and lime cured octopus Carpaccio is with garden peas, puree, shoots and smoked mint jelly, whilst Carpaccio of venison has roasted sausage and pate, baby French turnips, Blue cheese and pop corn crumble.   Foie gras Ballotine and parfait is with poached chicken breast and toasted brioche, tweaked with Black Fig puree, Serrano ham, red wine and cinnamon jelly.
