Restaurant Review - Tamra Thai
Wednesday 08 March 2023
It’s easy to forget, while whizzing along the busy N11, that just a stone’s throw to your left or right runs a whole chain of small, peaceful old villages and communities, all going about their daily business and lives.
Cabinteely village, on the Old Bray Road, is one such place. A few hundred metres from the bustling Dunnes Stores at Cornelscourt, there’s the calmness of the beautiful Cabinteely Park, plus a number of small cafes and restaurants, including Café 31, Urbun cafe and Veda Indian, not to mention the popular Horse & Hound pub. I was particularly fond of Colin and Teresa Pielow’s eponymous restaurant there, which sadly closed when Covid hit in 2020.
