Just 30 minutes from Cork Airport, Cobh is steeped in rich maritime history, not to mention having been the last port of call of the White Star Line RMS Titanic before it departed in 1912 to the US and its ill fated date with an iceberg. It also played a part in the rescue and recovery of victims when the Cunard Line passenger ship RMS Lusitania was torpedoed and sunk during WWI by a German Upboat in 1915. So there is so much to see and investigate in Cobh which is a stunningly pretty town. History apart there's a wealth of great shopping plus bars and restaurants too. The harbour welcomes more than 60 cruise liners and their passengers to the town each year, so there’s always a buzz.
From the moment you set foot in The Commodore, you’ll know you made the right choice. The staff here are friendly and attentive, eager to make sure that you have the best possible stay from the moment you check in to the moment you walk back out again.
