Restaurant Review - Terre
Wednesday 05 October 2022
This autumn sees a few interesting openings including Richard Corrigan’s Park Cafe, in Dylan McGrath’s former Shelbourne Social, in Ballsbridge, D4; Gareth ‘Gaz’ Smith’s Big Mike’s at Blackrock Shopping Centre, Co Dublin, where Clodagh McKenna soldiered for a time with her Kitchen before heading to London; the new Caviston’s in nearby Glasthule, and La Gordita by the Las Tapas de Lola ladies, Anna Cabrera and Vanessa Murphy, in Montague Street in the city.
It’s not, however, all about Dublin. One of the most exciting restaurants for a long time, Terre, by chef patron Vincent Crepel, has just opened in Co Cork at the 17th-century manor house of Castlemartyr Resort. No doubt our top chefs will be beating a path there to check out the competition.
