10 Sunday lunches to go in Dublin
Thursday 03 December 2020
There's something so comforting about being wrapped in the warm embrace of a good Sunday lunch. It's the time when grandparents sit around the table with their grandkids, sons and daughters introduce their future spouses, 'aunties' and 'uncles' drop by for a visit, and so on. We can't do all that right now, but we can get some great restaurant takeaway Sunday lunches, to drop off or have delivered to your family. You can even bring Zoom into the equation, and critique the food together! This week it's Dublin, next week we're countrywide.
1. BRESSON
With a French accent on its great food, Bresson's new food-to-go menu operates from Wednesday to Saturday, 5pm-8.30pm, with lunch on Sunday from 1pm-7.30pm. Starters (€9) include French onion soup; the 1970s retro fave vol-au-vent filled with wild mushrooms, smoked Alsace bacon & roast chicken jus, with crispy pane egg, and more. Mains (€20) include a classic cassoulet de canard with Toulouse sausage; bouillabaisse (€4 supplement); and their Sundays roast is Irish Hereford striploin a la bourguignon (€5 supplement) served with Chantenay carrots, sprouted broccoli, roasties, Yorkshire pud & gravy.
